Merimbula and All that Jazz

Come and join one of Australia’s most exciting events, the 28th Merimbula Jazz Festival on June 6-9, 2008. Made bigger and more fun this year, the event has 152 registered band with so much variety for everyone.

Expect red, blue and orange in this weekend of Jazz as those are said to be the festival’s official colour.

Friday, June 6

The Jazz Office at Twyford Hall opens as early as 9am to accommodate musicians who wish to pick up their badges, programmes, food and drink vouchers, and other festival literature. Registered bands will also be scheduled to perform at all venues the entire evening starting 5pm.

Saturday, June 7

Guests are invited to join Jazz Breakfast at 8am. Dine with your family and friends while you enjoy the sumptuous cuisines coupled with inspiring music performed by bands.

Street Parade assembles at 10:30am in Merimbula Drive, a stone’s throw away from Merimbula Motor Lodge. It commences at 11 and finishes with an “All in Blow” at the lakefront location in Beach Street. Vehicles from the Sapphire Coast Historic Vehicle Club will be featured in the ceremony. Also, rides in selection of open top 1920’s vintage automobiles will be available for everyone dressed for the party.

Monday, June 9

The annual Jazz Picnic at the Sapphire Coast Turf Club will start at 11am. Early birds find good spot. So prep n' pack your favorite meals and experience the merriment of sharing. Drinks and refreshments are available for purchase.

Bring your family and friends and witness Merimbula's finest at the 28th Merimbula Jazz Festival where all things are fun and jazzy.
